The 2-page layout is Christmas Day, 2004. The ribbon was cut in lengths to make a Christmas Tree and the C in Christmas also uses the same ribbon. The tree is a photo of our tree that year. The J was cut from cardstock and the word joy was added in white. Real cute. The photos fill the mats. Very nice layout and oh so easy for you to do.

Sweet BABY GIRL Altered Lunchbox Tin

Altered Lunchbox Tin

As you can see by the photos, this is a lunchbox tin that was altered for a baby girl. There is enough room for all the important first year information. On the front of the lunchbox tin I have used a seersucker material. The zipper was sewn in and does unzip, revealing "Peek A Boo". Real cute. I have not seen this done before. The tin is decorated very nicely with ribbon and lace. Beautiful colored and varied ribbon on the handle help to set this box as a unique and cherished memento.

The lunchbox contains 8 cards with 16 usable and decorated sides. There is a hand painted and decorated picture frame. ALL ME is the name for the little book that contains all the pertinent information from birth stats to firsts and inoculation record. This is a complete lunchbox and is made for that very important first year of life.

Rested - Refreshed - Ready To Work

I thoroughly enjoyed my time away. I come back refreshed and ready to do more work. I have many ideas that have been going through my head and I will now put them into reality.

The baby boy book that you see above was made from the large letter B and then paper bags on the inside. The album was decoupage'd on the letter B and each square was individually punched out. A labor of love. I have made quite a few of these albums, boys, girls and family. Really unique and different.

I AM READY!

I am ready, and then some! I packed almost all my scraproom in the F250 and now I am bursting at the seams. The back seat is loaded and now I am starting on the front. OMG!

Yearly there are 40 of us serious scrappers that make a pilgrimage to Camp Bo Ya Ca in the mountains of Tennessee. Pigeon Forge. The camp is located about 10 miles to the east up in the cool mountains. I can almost smell the fresh air now.

We pack all our scrap crap and away we go for 4 days. Usually Thursday to Sunday. No kids, no husbands and most important, no demands on our time. We eat, sleep and scrap for as long as we want. We get to chat and laugh a lot with friends and make many new ones. We have a great mixture of scrap designers, scrapbook store owners, 1 or 2 newbies and design team members. So we have an overall grouping. This year I am teaching an acrylic scrapbooking class. We have made all of the books (40) and I have made handouts. This should be fun. I am excited about it.

So, dear blog, you will not hear from me again until Monday (10/15). I will give you all the exciting news and a few photos.

CROPTOBERFEST

Fellow Bloggers,

This coming week is really big, really BIG! I am gone on Thursday the 10/11 thru to 10/14 for the annual CROPTOBERFEST. Crop, eat, sleep. No kids, no husbands and no demands on your time. All we do for 4 days is crop, talk, laugh and catch up on friendships. What a blast. I never had so much fun in my life. There are 40 ladies, in the mountains of Tennessee at a Baptist camp with all our scrap "shizz". Need I say more!

This year I will be teaching a class on Acrylic Scrapbooking. It will be my first and I am so looking forward to it. I have 5 books for examples and away we go. I finally finished packing all my scrap stuff today, Saturday. Needless to say, I am ready.

I will miss blogging for a few days, but I will tell you all about it when I return.

AUTUMN PAPER BAG ALBUM

AUTUMN

This album speaks for itself. The beauty of cool mornings, leaves changing colors and softly falling to the ground is immediately captured with this album. The design for the leaf was hand drawn and cut by me. I shaded, inked and repeated the process many times to achieve the color of the leaf, front and back. The inside front cover and back was covered with paper that was stamped with a leaf pattern. The paper bags were added and secured with 1" metal rings. I used 2 bags, brown. Each page was decorated and the pages when they are opened together coordinate with each other.

MEMORIES OF HOME

Creating this album was truly a labor of love. I designed the jar template and cut it from thick cardstock. The jar was covered with a strawberry print paper and then I designed the lid. The lid was an experience. It was cut out to form, scored with a knife, shaded and then inked twice. The authentic look is amazing. Each page was then created and built on the previous one. I used metal Ball jar inserts (under the flower), antique lace, a special made tag that says "Memories of Home", a flower and ribbon - Home Sweet Home.
