GRANDMA
Here is my newest acrylic album. The subject is Grandma and the album is jam packed with lots of lace, tags, special ribbons and rubons just for a special grandma. Each page has large photo mats and lots of flowers.
"A Grandmother is one of life's greatest blessings"
"I desire no future that will break the ties of the past"
"History is who we are"
These are just a few of the sayings in the book. The book measures 6x8. Just the right size to display with precious pictures of you, grandchildren or great-grandchildren. Any grandmother would love to have this precious album.
I will be listing the book on ebay when I get back from a short trip. I must take my grandchildren to Florida. They have been visiting and now it is time for them to go home. I should be back in about a week. I will not be posting until then.
Thank you for taking the time to enjoy my website and try something new today. Happy scrappin'.

SWEET BABY HANNAH

So sweet and such a good baby!

Top, page 1, of the layout is shown with a 3 paper photo mat. I offset each sheet to show the edges of the one before. Hannah's picture was then placed near the center inside the corner ribbon. Next to the photo are strips of ribbon and then a flower stamped within. The chipboard for the letter H is covered in a flower print and the rest of the name is spelled out. I then used rubons in different places.
Page 2 of the layouts shows a few more pictures. Again the triple photo mat and the third paper is placed at a 180 degree angle. The photo was then squared on it. Very neat effect. Next and below is a photo inside a circle. The three smaller photos are at the bottom. The journaling was typed on vellum and cut into strips. They are laid diagonally on the side of Hannah's photo.

I hope you enjoyed this layout. I had fun making it. Have a great day today and try something new. Happy scrappin'.

RACHAEL
All of my granddaughters have given me inspiration for layouts. This one is no exception. Rachael has always been a child that would only do
what she wanted to do. She is still that way, even today at almost 4.
I wanted to share this layout because it is so unique and I used unconventional items to express my ideas.
The 1st page with the large photo is matted on a large piece of antique lace. Kind of a shabby chic look. Mixing the old with the new. I did sew it on the paper, for stability and then added the photo mats. The mat corners are bent inward and held with a brad. Rachael is spelled out in chipboard lettering that is made to look old and used. I stamped on both the lettering and the lace. On the left hand side I journaled with little notes about Rachael.
On page 2 I also used the antique lace, just a smaller amount. The lace is seen angled at 2 corners. Again I stamped and journaled on it. The photos are doubled matted. The buttons compliment the richness of the paper and embellishments. They are different sizes and colors coordinated to go with the layout. The word 'Attitude" is stamped on the side. In the lower right hand corner I put her birth date and age.
Thank you for taking time to look. Take a moment to remember if you stored away things like old lace, buttons and etc. You may be able to use them for your scrapping. I bet you could. Give it a shot. Try something new today and happy scrappin'.

ALL GIRL
A double page layout that is indeed "ALL GIRL". On the 1st page of the layout is a tag that is made to look like a flowerpot. I used the sizzix die cut and then added the large flower with a Bazzill brad in the center. The little curly q's were punched out and added around the brad and some of the flowers throughout the 2 pages. This adds a little dimension to the 2 pages and helps them not to look so flat. A few of the flowers in the paper were sculpted out and the photos can partially go under them to hold the photos in.
On page 2 of the layout is a hand cut flower with a special mat in the center for a photo. The ripped paper is laced together and then 'all girl' is stamped along the laces. A square Bazzill brad, ribbon, flowers, 2 tags are added to enhance the page.
Thank you for taking time to look and enjoy. Happy scrappin' and guess what -
try something new today!

RED - WHITE - BLUE
I LOVE AMERICA
The colors and love that went into this layout are evident. As you could probably guess, I love our flag and the all American colors of it. Red, white and blue. These are my personal favorites.
There are many things to look at with this double layout. The photo mats that are multi-colored are a process called paper weaving. This is a very unique way to display special photos and it certainly highlights the page.
I have used flags, special edging, pull tags, envelopes, and even a firecracker girl. Isn't she cute. The flowers are made of denim blue and denim red and white. There is so much to see, take your time. Feel free to use my layout as a template for yours.
I find my special little embellishments everywhere. Get out of the box. If you can imagine it you can do it. If you would like directions on how to make the woven photo mats, email me at sandiescrapper@gmail.com and I will send them to you.
Thank you for taking the time to look. Try something new and keep scrappin'.

THOMAS THE TANK AND CARRY CASE
I just had to showcase the Thomas book and carry case. The carry case originally was for a toy. I took the toy out and added velvet paper to the inside so when the book is inside, the book will not scratch. The book is all done in the Thomas bold colors and shows some of his friends. The book also has numerous tags and places to journal.
Please take time to look at the book and visualize photos in the book. This book is a treasure and will hold all precious memories for a very long time.
Thanks for taking time to look, and try something new today. Happy Scrappin'.

Tags & Layouts

I thought I would give you an interesting post today. I have photos of Thomas layouts, numerous tags and another boy double layout. I have made quite a few Thomas layouts and paper bag albums. One of the paper bag albums was inside a blue plastic case that was decorated to match the album. Really cute and definitely one of a kind.
The tags are just fun to do and I like imagining different ways to do tags. These are so unique and can be used in many different layouts. Journaling and/or photos look real nice on these tags.
The final layout is another boy layout. I really wanted to do something "out of the box" and try new ideas of using circles. Came out pretty good and the layout pattern is very fascinating. There are coordinating tags to match the layout.
Take time to look closely and try something new today. Thanks and happy scrappin'.

GROWING UP TOO FAST
The theme was used for both the girl and the boy layout. I made these layouts for a friend with twins. The pink paper is very soft in tone and is highlighted with Bazzill Basics darker pinks and a splash of green. There is so much to this double layout, so take your time and look closely.
The boy layout is also the same these of growing up too fast. The Little Boy blues are soft and muted. I didn't want to get too rough and tumble just yet, since he is just a baby now. I am sure that will come later. There are loads of places for photos and also lots of unique space for journaling.
I thoroughly enjoyed making these 2 layouts and creatively they turned out really nice. Take your time to look and if you would like me to post a specific item, or category, just let me know.
Thanks, have a great day and keep scrappin'.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU !
A sweet acrylic album for the "birthday person". The book is 8x8 and has a total of 10 pages. Each page is filled with mats for photos and places to journal. The book is bright, cheerful and just waiting for someone to fill it with precious memories.
I used a combination of papers for this project. There is Heidi Grace, Bazzill Basics, Vellum and assorted others. The embellishments are mainly Tim Coffey. I like his for their 3-D effect and they always stick so well. Heidi Grace was used for rubons. The ribbon was made special for birthdays. I have balloons and happy birthday on the ribbons.
This book was fun to create, from choosing the paper (paper quilting) to adding the ice cream cones on the sides. Remember to be adventurous with your scrapping and try something new.
Happy scrappin'

Above are 2 really sweet layouts. The first is Beka's 3rd birthday. I have used Best Creations, Inc. paper and highlighted it with Bazzill Basics Paper. The sticker are by Tim Coffee - Grand Adhesion's and Karen Foster - Birthday Party. The ribbon is sheer dotted. Very Pretty. I also used Stickles as the strings for the balloons. This layout was fun to make.
The second layout is also made with Best Creations Inc. paper. Two different colors of Bazzill Basic highlight and add emphasis to the photos. The flowers are the new
Prima Paintables. I hand painted them to match the paper and added the photos. There are also chipboard letters, Stickles and ribbon/rickrack.
I am going to try to do more layouts with photos. I want to give everyone a good overall view of what the layout can look like with photos.
I hope you enjoy them and keep scrappin!

Water - Ocean - Vacation - Paradise
What more can you say. While we are all dreaming about warm sunshine and the way it glistens on the water, well, it's time to prepare for the summer and or the photos from a winter vacation. Warmth of the sun, a cool drink, what else is there?
As you can see above that is the theme of the 3 layouts. The papers are very light and airy and show off the colors of the beach and sunshine. Dig your toes in and let it go. Get yourself ready for a wonderful summer and think about how you can scrap your pictures. Choose papers that will convey the very special feelings and thoughts of a special time.
Thanks for looking and leave me a hello once in a while. Have a good one and keep scrappin.
