WINTER WONDERLAND

** WINTER WONDERLAND **
I must say that this album was a joy to build. I say build because that is what each page was. I
built each page with the other on top for placement purposes. I think the dimensional effect is awesome.
The snow flurries on the cover and others throughout the album are one of Prima's newest elements. I think they are absolutely beautiful and add a certain airy effect.
On the cover of the album, by the ribbon, I have 2 dangling crystals with little mirrors and beads. These were ornaments, but I used them to add to another dimension to the album.
Have fun creating your own "Winter Wonderland" and take liberties to use products that are not often used for scrapbooking.
Have a great and wonderful day. Till later -

MY FAVORITE LAYOUTS

These are just a few of my all-time favorite layouts. Sarah, Ellie, Hannah and Rachael. I think they capture the innocence and loveability of each one of them.
Today is a great day. Ben is playing in the playoffs for his high school football team. He is playing center. I need a layout of this big, strapping and might I say handsome boy. He will always be my grandboy even if he is 6ft. 4in. and over 200 pounds. WOW what a hunk. They used to say that back in my day, ha.

LIFE IS JUST A "CUP OF TEA"

A CUP OF TEA
Today is a great day! After 4 days of straight rain, it has finally moved on and the sun is shining. I feel very creative today.
The acrylic teapot you see above is finished. It was hard to find placement for photos. I think this album will be just for looking at on a shelf with only a few pics. It is so cute and sweet, I will probably have a hard time selling it to someone. I may keep this one for me and fill it with photos of my grand-daughters' tea party we had here.
Everyone have a wonderful day and do something nice for someone today. Little things mean a lot.

Newest Acrylic Album

HOME

A sweet acrylic album. You can almost smell the baking coming from the kitchen. WOW!
I really enjoyed making this album. As with my original Mason Jar book, this book has more wide open spaces for the dimensional effect. I think it came out beautifully.

We are finally getting into a cool and often damp weather pattern. Quite a change from this past summer when it was so dry and not a drop of rain.

Have a great day and please feel free to leave comments or questions. I will be happy to answer you.

SUMMERTIME FLIP - FLOPS

SUMMERTIME FLIP FLOPS PAPER BAG ALBUM
The above unique and sweet album was made out of a gift bag. I found a flip flop gift bag that was a heavy weight and thought it would make a great front cover and back cover for a paper bag album. Guess what, it did! The flip flops are a heavy weight, almost cardboard like, they do not bend. I took the bag part off and that left me with the front and back. I then covered the inside with my printed cardstock and added the white paper bags. You can see how each set of pages turned out. Real cute.
This album was great fun to make. Try something new and see how it turns out. I bet it will look great.

CHRISTMAS DAY - 2004

CHRISTMAS 2004
The 2-page layout is Christmas Day, 2004. The ribbon was cut in lengths to make a Christmas Tree and the C in Christmas also uses the same ribbon. The tree is a photo of our tree that year. The J was cut from cardstock and the word joy was added in white. Real cute. The photos fill the mats. Very nice layout and oh so easy for you to do.

Sweet BABY GIRL Altered Lunchbox Tin

BABY GIRL
Altered Lunchbox Tin
As you can see by the photos, this is a lunchbox tin that was altered for a baby girl. There is enough room for all the important first year information. On the front of the lunchbox tin I have used a seersucker material. The zipper was sewn in and does unzip, revealing "Peek A Boo". Real cute. I have not seen this done before. The tin is decorated very nicely with ribbon and lace. Beautiful colored and varied ribbon on the handle help to set this box as a unique and cherished memento.
The lunchbox contains 8 cards with 16 usable and decorated sides. There is a hand painted and decorated picture frame. ALL ME is the name for the little book that contains all the pertinent information from birth stats to firsts and inoculation record. This is a complete lunchbox and is made for that very important first year of life.
Take time to look at this project and if you have any questions or comments please feel free to ask.
